AIA software that knows the standard you're assessing against
An Arboricultural Impact Assessment is only as good as the encroachment numbers behind it. ArborFlow calculates NRZ and SRZ for every tree, measures how much of each zone the proposed works take, and sets out the impact assessment in AS 4970:2025 terms, ready for your TPZ determination and recommendations.
From site visit to impact assessment, in one record
- Preliminary assessment. Survey the site, record DSH, DRF, health and structure. Give the designer constraints before they draw.
- Arboricultural Impact Assessment. Overlay the development footprint, calculate encroachment by area into each NRZ and SRZ, and assess whether each retained tree stays viable.
Why not a generic tree inventory app?
Inventory apps are built to count and maintain trees. An AIA has a different job: show an assessing officer, with numbers, that a retained tree will survive the works, or justify why it won't. That needs encroachment calculations, the 2025 terminology, and output structured for development assessment. ArborFlow is built around that job first.
What you get in every AIA

Frequently asked questions
Does ArborFlow work outside South Australia?
Yes for AS 4970:2025 calculations and reporting, which apply nationally. Automatic planning overlay lookup is currently South Australia only.
Can I include my own wording and methodology?
Yes. Report wording and templates are editable, so the output reads like your practice, not like software.
